E+M Arts Collective is what you get when someone refuses to choose between the library and the

laboratory, the stage and the street corner, the grant application and the beautifully unhinged napkin

sketch. It is, in the most literal possible sense, a collective — meaning it moves like a murmuration of

starlings over the Sonoran Desert: purposeful-looking, loosely coordinated, occasionally inexplicable,

and genuinely hard to ignore.

It does not scale. It permeates.

It does not disrupt. It complicates things in interesting ways.

It is local until it isn't. It is small until the ideas aren't.
